Phnom Penh: All leaders, officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation have expressed their full support to the initiative to Prime Minister Hun Sen in the amendment of the Constitution by assigning the President of the Senate, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister and the President of the Constitutional Council to have only Khmer nationality.  

They say they are all very proud to have a wise leader who is pious and has a high sense of responsibility for the destiny of the nation and the well-being of its people. 

The groups statement stated, "We, the leaders, officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, raise our hands in prayer for all the sacred objects in the world, please help to nurture and take care of Samdech Techo Prime Minister. We wish you good health Happiness and more new victories in the noble task of leading the nation to greater prosperity in the future."

Another group that have shown support to the Prime Minister is from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. Their statement says, " The designation of the four top national positions in the Constitution as "unique Khmer nationality" is a political and legal guarantee for the nation's top leaders to remain loyal to the motherland of Cambodia. Lead the country by upholding the national interest as well as avoiding and resolutely opposing foreign interference in the internal affairs of the national leadership of the Kingdom of Cambodia."

It has added that this noble initiative makes it clear that as a Cambodian hero who once sacrificed his flesh and blood to capitalize on the cause of national liberation, national reconciliation and the revival of the Cambodian nation, Prime Minister Hun Sen remains steadfast in his service to the motherland of Cambodia, always mourning with the people, not fleeing the people and the country, no matter what the circumstances.
